Muscle Release Technique

A unique injury therapy that combines compression, extension, movement, and breath to provide, in many cases, relief from pain in one treatment. With the Muscle Release TechniqueSM scar tissue is broken up, the muscle is lengthened, muscle memory is restored and relief from pain starts immediately.

Deep Tissue Massage

Focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the same strokes are used as classic Swedish Massage, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain.  The amount of pressure is given at a depth and tolerance that the client communicates is comfortable to them.

Another Professional Athlete Turns to Acupuncture

Jason Hammel of the Colorado Rockies talks about how acupuncture helped him get off of medications and back onto the baseball field. “The morning after his first session in Providence, R.I., Hammel couldn’t believe how good he felt. Not only were his muscles relaxed, his energy level was redlining.” For the full article click: Acupuncture helps energize Hammel

Acupuncture Research Update – Acupuncture Changes How the Body Processes, Responds to Pain

Interesting research coming out of University Hospital in Essen, Germany shows how acupuncture alters the way the brain processes and responds to pain. This is why acupuncture can be so helpful for chronic pain issues. Even when the structure has broken down, such as in arthritis when there is bone on bone, acupuncture can reduce pain!
